Practical Vacuum Technology Course

Description

The Practical Vacuum Technology Course is a good mixture of theory and practical demonstrations and exercises which ensures that delegates are at the centre of activities.

The course is intended for personnel with little or no knowledge of vacuum technology and gives a broad introduction into the essential elements of vacuum science and technology.

The subject is treated from its foundations and includes discussion on vacuum measurement and units, the mechanism, characteristics and use of vacuum pumps and vacuum gauges, problems of vacuum system design and different methods of leak detection. Demonstrations and practical work are used throughout. To obtain full benefit from the course, delegates should have had some formal technical/ scientific education.

Testimonial

“All six participants have come back speaking very highly of the course, the content – especially the practical sessions and also of the tutor, Ken. It was quite a mixed bunch in terms of age, experience and qualifications so for them all to come away feeling it was three days well spent is a testament to the course and Ken’s delivery. Please pass on our thanks to Ken for providing such a worthwhile experience form them all”. - Training and Skills Management Coordinator, Ultra Electronics NCS
